The IDTECH EasyMag reads up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. Its length makes it exceptionally tolerant of bent or otherwise imperfect cards. Both beeper and LED indicators signal a successful read.

Reader output format can be customized with the user-friendly Windows-based MagSwipe Configuration Utility. After reading & validating card data, the unit can parse the data, insert control characters, and add prefix/suffix characters while maintaining data integrity through vertical and longitudinal error checking.
