ID Tech VersaMag
The IDTECH VersaMag reads and decodes up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. Keyboard and RS-232 interfaces are available. An adjustable beeper and multi-color LED indicator signal a successful read.
The ID TECH VersaMag can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit, and validate fields of scanned data. In addition, it allows for up to 16 preamble or postamble characters. Windows-based configuration software is included for easy, on-screen programming of "magnetics-only" models with serial interface.
By attaching an undecoded laser, CCD, wand, or slot scanner to a VersaMag with the optional bar code capability, the same unit can decode scanned bar code data, as well as read and decode magnetic stripe media.
With its combination of magnetic stripe and bar code decoding capabilities, the VersaMag is especially suited for the high- performance demands of point-of-sale environments.
