Expand your view with industry-leading tracking technology

Zebra states that a ZT610 or ZT620 can be upgraded to RFID encoding in the field in about five minutes. Once RFID-enabled, the ZT610R is engineered to print and encode labels accurately for advanced item-level tracking.

Adaptive Encoding Technology automatically selects optimum encode settings, simplifies calibration and removes complex placement guides. Zebra certifies its RFID technology on six continents to support visibility across multinational supply chains.

The ZT610R supports UHF EPC Gen 2 V2.1, ISO/IEC 18000-63 and RAIN RFID protocols. It also supports industry-standard multi-vendor chip-based serialization and ATA Spec 2000-compatible block permalocking of user memory.

RFID job-monitoring tools let operators track encode performance. These capabilities serve asset tracking, compliance labeling, inventory management, shipping, receiving and other workflows that require durable item identification.

The ZT610R prints up to 14 ips/356 mm per second and offers 203 dpi, optional 300 dpi and optional 600 dpi resolution. The 600 dpi option is specific to the ZT610 in this series and supports very small labels, dense barcodes and fine text.

A thin-film printhead with E3 Element Energy Equalizer supports print quality, and dual transmissive and reflective media sensors detect different label types. Continuous, die-cut, notched and black-mark media are supported.

Reduce RFID Media Costs

The ZT600 RFID platform supports a 0.6 inch/16 mm pitch or narrower on most RFID inlays. Closer spacing allows label converters to use less material per label, reducing media cost and increasing the number of labels on a roll.

More labels per roll can mean fewer roll changes and faster printer/encoder throughput. Actual savings depend on the selected inlay, label construction and converter design.

Customize your configuration with flexible connectivity

USB 2.0, RS-232 serial, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0 are standard. Two open communication slots accept optional Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5 with Bluetooth 4.2, parallel, Ethernet or applicator-interface cards.

An external dongle can provide IPv6 through a parallel port, and open slots allow non-standard connectivity or failover designs. These choices help integrate the ZT610R into existing infrastructure while preserving an upgrade path for future protocols.

Increase your efficiency with a user-friendly design

The 4.3-inch full-color touch display shows printer status and provides an icon-based menu for language, printer and connectivity settings. Guided feedback, onboard sensors, diagnostics and help resources assist operators before a support call is necessary.

Color-illuminated media and ribbon paths streamline routine changes. A side-loading supplies path plus adjustable media-width and pressure toggles accommodates different applications without making every change a maintenance procedure.
