The Zebra ZT411 RFID printer/encoder pairs the rugged ZT400 Series platform with a factory- or field-installable UHF RFID system. It is built for mid- to high-volume operations that need printed human-readable data and encoded tags for item-level tracking, asset visibility and enterprise workflows.
A 4.3-inch color touch display provides quick access to printer and RFID settings, while Zebra DNA for Printers and Link-OS support integration, management and maintenance from distributed locations. The ZT411 RFID also offers the series' highest-resolution and on-metal choices, with important configuration limits noted below.

Zebra ZT411R industrial RFID printer.
Zebra's current U.S. package listing includes:
SKU and region note: Exact package contents can vary by SKU and region. A USB cable is not asserted as a universal item.
Ethernet, RS-232 serial, USB 2.0, dual USB Host and Bluetooth 4.1 are standard. Optional dual-band wireless is available with Wi-Fi 6/6E through 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.3, or with Wi-Fi 5 through 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.
The ZT411 RFID handles continuous, die-cut, notched and black-mark media and can print and encode tags with a minimum 0.6-inch pitch. Optional 600 dpi is exclusive to the standard ZT411 RFID platform for exceptionally fine output; the dedicated on-metal configuration is limited to 300 dpi.
Two USB Host ports can connect storage, scanners, keyboards and other peripherals at the same time. Operators can replicate firmware, files and configurations, transfer formats or simplify data entry without repeatedly swapping devices.
Field-installable media handling and RFID options allow the ZT411 to change after deployment. Two open communications slots, robust processing and memory support new interfaces, firmware updates and additional Zebra DNA tools over the printer's service life.
The 4.3-inch full-color touch display uses an intuitive icon-based menu for printer and RFID configuration. Operators can create frequently used shortcuts and see color-coded alerts from a distance when the printer is paused or in an error state.
Adaptive Encoding Technology simplifies RFID calibration and removes complex inlay-placement guidelines. Zebra's globally certified RFID technology supports deployments on six continents, while variable inlay placement and a Global RFID radio help multinational supply chains standardize processes.
The side-loading supplies path, color-coded guides and illuminated media and ribbon paths make loading faster and easier to understand. Even in poorly lit environments, operators can see how supplies should be threaded and reduce loading errors.
A bi-fold metal media door reduces the overhead clearance needed for access. The ZT411 remains a substantial industrial printer with a 19.5-by-10.6-inch closed footprint, but the door design helps it fit where a full-height swing-up cover would not.
The optional Network Connect capability links the ZT411 directly to an Industrial Ethernet network without separate equipment. Zebra positions this as a way to remove vulnerability points and reduce setup, management and troubleshooting labor.
Print Touch uses NFC to pair compatible devices with a tap. Dynamic QR codes provide immediate access to printer-specific help, including Zebra how-to videos and product support resources.
Zebra DNA for Printers combines productivity, management, development and visibility tools on the Link-OS operating system. The software environment improves integration and remote manageability while giving teams tools to deploy and configure printers consistently.
Printer Profile Manager Enterprise can discover Link-OS printers and manage one device, selected groups or a global fleet through a browser. Administrators can maintain, secure and troubleshoot without manually visiting every printer, supported by complimentary deployment utilities for initial setup.
Zebra DNA MDM Connectors integrate networked ZT400 printers into supported device-management platforms. Zebra specifically identifies AirWatch and SOTI MobiControl, allowing printers and mobile devices to appear in a more unified administrative workflow.
The dedicated ZT411 RFID On-Metal solution prints and encodes thicker RFID labels for IT assets, tools, equipment, returnable containers and other metal-surface applications. It works with Zebra Silverline labels up to 1.5 mm thick and is field-upgradeable, but it is available only on the ZT411 and only up to 300 dpi.
A metal frame and metal media enclosure support years of industrial use. A long-life printhead coating protects direct-thermal operation, while printhead-element-out detection helps maintain quality and identify maintenance needs before output deteriorates.
Zebra designs, produces and pretests thermal labels, tags and ribbons to support consistent printer performance and printhead life. RFID media should also be qualified for encoding performance, inlay placement and the surface on which the tag will be used.
Zebra OneCare adds direct technical support and repair options that can include accidental-damage coverage and defined turnaround times. Zebra Support and Visibility Services add operational insight intended to improve availability and printer utilization.
The integrated reader/encoder supports UHF EPC Gen 2 V2.1, ISO/IEC 18000-63 and RAIN RFID tags. It also supports multi-vendor chip-based serialization, job-monitoring tools and block permalocking of user memory compatible with ATA Spec 2000.
The RFID system can be upgraded in the field, allowing the printer to evolve from ordinary label output to RFID encoding when requirements change. Adaptive encoding and variable inlay placement preserve media flexibility instead of forcing one rigid inlay position.
RFID job-monitoring tools give operators visibility into encoding performance instead of treating RFID output as a blind print step. Global radio compliance and standards-based serialization further support consistent deployment across sites and suppliers.
Manufacturing uses include item and asset tagging, work-in-process, product ID or serial numbers, packaging and receiving.
Transportation and logistics workflows include picking and packing, shipping and receiving, cross-docking, compliance labeling and pallet or asset tagging.
Retail applications include back-of-store work, item-level and security tagging, and distribution-center operations.
Healthcare workflows include laboratory, specimen and pharmacy labeling plus asset management and tagging.
