The ZD611R extends Zebra's desktop RFID line as the industry's only 2-inch RAIN RFID printer/encoder. It shares the innovative architecture used by the 4-inch ZD621R and is designed to perform more operations simultaneously, apply best-practice security and evolve with emerging technology.

Its two-inch format supports narrow media up to 2.36 inches wide, with maximum print width of 2.2 inches at 203 dpi. That distinction makes it suitable when a 4-inch desktop printer would consume unnecessary space or media.

The integrated Zebra RE40 module supports RFID labels, tags and wristbands across retail, food and beverage, healthcare and hospitality workflows. Adaptive Encoding Technology simplifies setup and calibration while eliminating complex RFID inlay-placement guidelines.

The printer can encode tags with a minimum pitch of 0.6 inch/16 mm. RFID job-monitoring tools track performance, while a timestamped RFID log records RFID data to provide complete traceability.

The ZD611R supports both thermal transfer and direct thermal printing, reaching 8 ips at 203 dpi or 6 ips with optional 300 dpi. The higher-resolution configuration provides additional detail for small text, dense barcodes and compact RFID labels.

OpenACCESS media loading and color-coded touch points guide users through media and ribbon changes. A dual-wall frame and movable reflective plus multi-position transmissive sensors support dependable use with roll-fed or fan-fold labels, tag stock, receipt paper and wristbands.

The standard 4.3-inch full-color touch display provides setup wizards, troubleshooting animations, media-loading guidance and calibration assistance. The display changes color to communicate status at a glance and supports stand-alone printing applications.

Backwards Compatible with Virtually Any Existing Thermal Printer

ZPL and EPL support lets organizations continue using their established label formats and applications. Zebra DNA Printer Emulations can interpret languages normally associated with other printer brands, helping the ZD611R replace a different thermal printer with less application rework.
