All-in-one UHF RFID, barcode capture and Android computing in a compact wearable.

The Zebra WS501-R combines mobile applications, an integrated UHF RFID reader and enterprise 1D/2D scanning in one hands-free device. Select the antenna and wearing configuration for item picking, inventory, receiving, putaway, load verification and manufacturing workflows.

RFID and barcode capture in one device

Configure RFID for the workflow

The integrated upward-facing antenna supports natural reach-and-read tasks. Supported configurations can use a downward-facing antenna and configurable read power for close-range item selection or broader tag capture. Actual range depends on tag type, orientation, material, environment and region.

Enterprise barcode scanning

The SR560 imager reads supported 1D and 2D barcodes, including damaged, poorly printed and moving codes. It provides a barcode fallback when RFID is unavailable and supports multi-barcode workflows through Zebra software.

Wearable productivity

Choose the wearing style

Wrist, two-finger and back-of-hand configurations position the antenna, display and controls for different jobs. The 2-inch AMOLED screen, programmable buttons, microphone, speaker and supported push-to-talk applications keep instructions and communication close at hand.

Full-shift operation

The hot-swappable battery preserves the active session during replacement. Select compatible chargers and mounts for the installed configuration rather than assuming all WS501 accessories fit every WS501-R assembly.

Rugged and manageable

IP65 sealing, 6 ft. drop protection and a replaceable front shell support demanding industrial use. Zebra DataWedge, EMDK, LifeGuard and management tools help deploy applications, control settings, secure devices and deliver RFID or barcode data to enterprise workflows.
