Countertop barcode and mobile-wallet readers for customer-presented credentials

SocketScan S320 and S370 provide compact, hands-free capture at a checkout, service desk, or event counter. The S320 focuses on QR and other 1D/2D barcodes shown on a phone or printed pass. The S370 adds NFC tap reading and writing for supported mobile-wallet and contactless credentials.

Both use Bluetooth LE and can operate from a rechargeable battery or external power. All listed bundles include SM Link; confirm the host application and credential type before choosing a model.

Both models read popular printed and on-screen 1D/2D codes, including QR and PDF417, without requiring a handheld scanning motion.

Add NFC with S370

The S370 adds tap-and-go NFC for supported mobile passes and contactless cards; choose it when the application must accept both barcode and NFC credentials.

S320: countertop 1D/2D and QR barcode reader. S370: countertop 1D/2D barcode and NFC/HF RFID reader.
Capture types
S320: printed and on-screen 1D/2D barcodes, including QR. S370: 1D/2D barcodes plus NFC/HF RFID credentials and mobile IDs.
Default 1D symbologies
Both: Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, EAN/JAN 8/13 and UPC A/E. S370 additionally lists GS1 DataBar and Interleaved 2 of 5.
Default 2D symbologies
Both: Data Matrix, Micro PDF417, Micro QR, PDF417 and QR. S370 additionally lists Aztec, Han Xin and MaxiCode.

S370 only: Apple VAS, Google Smart Tap, mobile passes, NFC Forum, ISO 14443 A/B, ISO 15693, ISO 18092, MIFARE and FeliCa.

S370 only: PC/SC over Bluetooth LE; ability to write depends on card type, content and authentication.
