The Star Micronics SK1-41 is a four-inch direct-thermal kiosk printer built for information-dense receipts and reports in shipping, parking, transit, retail, and self-service environments. Current US models share RS-232C and USB connectivity, 203 dpi output, and a compact horizontal chassis.
Choose the standard paper-holder model for lower-cost kiosk builds or the presenter model when your application needs controlled output delivery. Both configurations require the external SK1-PS-M US power supply and support Star's current kiosk software and CUPS driver packages.

The current US printer configurations require the optional SK1-PS-M US external power supply. Interface cables, paper-roll accessories, and media are configuration-dependent and not bundled with every installation.

Choose the right receipt handoff
Model 37963693 adds a presenter for guided output delivery, while 37963703 uses the standard holder path for straightforward receipt and report dispensing. Both keep the same print engine, cutter behavior, and connection set, so the page's option filter can focus on presenter presence instead of duplicating invariant specs.
Flexible Media Handling
Built for wider-format kiosk documents
The SK1-41 supports 80 mm, 83 mm, and 112 mm media widths with print widths up to 104 mm. Add the external large paper-roll holder for higher-capacity installations and the guide-roller accessory where the holder assembly requires it.

Current software remains available
Star's current SK support page still provides the StarPRNT Intelligence for Kiosk Windows package, the setup EXE, installation manual, and current CUPS driver paths for macOS and Linux. That keeps both printer variants serviceable for mixed legacy and modern kiosk fleets.

Maintenance-light thermal platform
Direct-thermal output eliminates ribbon changes, while the cutter and print-head life figures support long-run kiosk service. The compact chassis is designed for horizontal mounting where cabinet space is limited but wide-format printouts are still required.
