Cordless checkout scanning with Datalogic STAR radio

The Datalogic QuickScan QM2500 reads 1D and 2D barcodes from printed labels and smartphone screens using a 1-megapixel area imager. Its 910 MHz STAR radio communicates with the included base station, providing cordless movement around the checkout without a Bluetooth connection. Green Spot feedback confirms successful reads directly on the barcode.

Clear aiming and read confirmation

Two blue aiming triangles guide the scanner toward the intended barcode. Adjustable audible feedback, a good-read LED and Datalogic Green Spot provide confirmation for each successful scan. Motionix automatically changes reading modes as the scanner is picked up or set down.

Replaceable battery for daily use

The user-replaceable lithium-ion battery supports up to 115,000 reads per charge. Charging takes about three hours with external power through the scanner’s USB-C port, or four hours through a cradle supplied with 12 VDC external power. Replacing the battery pack also renews the scanner’s charging contacts.

Datalogic STAR Cordless System

910 MHz; effective radiated power <50 mW; point-to-point configuration with two-way communication. Radio range in open air: 30 m / 98 ft. This product’s displayed US kit uses 910 MHz; the separate 433.92 MHz family variant is not offered here.
