Cordless industrial scanning with two-way STAR radio

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9600 brings cordless 1D/2D scanning to manufacturing and warehouse work through Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System. Offered models use 433 or 910 MHz radio, with Standard Range or High Performance optics. Choose a plain scanner or an OLED display version with four or sixteen keys when operators need on-screen feedback and data entry. A matching radio base connects the scanner to the host.

Radio range is measured in open air and depends on band and speed. Scanner and base must use the same radio frequency. Reading ranges vary by optic and code size; see Technical Specs.

Two-way feedback away from the host

STAR radio supports point-to-point or multipoint operation, with up to sixteen scanners per receiver. Display models let operators receive immediate host feedback, while configurable four- or sixteen-key keypads support the chosen workflow.

Charging without exposed scanner contacts

Inductive charging removes the scanner’s battery charging contacts and pins, reducing a common wear point. The rugged housing combines IP65/IP67 sealing with repeated-drop testing and a trigger tested for ten million actuations.
