Bluetooth industrial scanning with task-specific optics

The Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600 is a cordless Bluetooth 5.0 scanner for industrial barcode reading. Standard Range covers routine scanning, High Performance handles denser codes and a wider working distance, and Document Capture adds a color sensor for image capture. Auto Range serves near-to-far warehouse scanning, while black DPX models read direct part marks as well as printed labels. Select the optic and base package that fit the application.

The AR maximum of 20 m applies to 100 mil Code 128. Reading ranges vary with code size, quality and light. Bluetooth’s 100 m open-air range is measured with the base station; other hosts and real conditions can differ.

The AR model offered here is scanner only. DPX models are black; the yellow/black hero shows the AR configuration. No display or keypad is included on the offered models.

Direct part marks or long-distance labels

DPX optics combine dedicated illumination, autofocus and Datalogic’s 4D learning system for direct-marked and printed codes. AR autofocus covers a different task: alternating between nearby pick lists and large warehouse labels. Choose the optic for the code surface and working distance.

Wireless charging for repeated industrial use

Inductive charging removes exposed scanner charging contacts and pins that can wear or collect dirt. IP65/IP67 sealing, repeated-drop testing and a trigger tested for ten million actuations support frequent use in demanding work areas.

Reading Range Conditions

DPX models read label-printed codes and direct part marks made by laser etching, dot peening, inkjet printing or electrochemical etching; autofocus and the 4D learning system adapt acquisition and decoding settings.
