Premium 1D handheld scanning with wired or cordless connectivity

Datalogic's Gryphon 4200 series brings linear 1D scanning to retail and general-purpose applications. Choose a wired GD4200, Bluetooth GBT4200 or STAR cordless GM4200 model, with Motionix handling detection, a soft line viewfinder and Green Spot good-read feedback.

Reading and radio ranges depend on barcode quality, lighting, scan angle and the installation. GBT4200 supports Bluetooth HID/SPP; its 100 m open-air rating is with the base, and other Bluetooth hosts may differ. GM4200 requires a matching 910 MHz STAR radio base.

External power adapters and regional line cords are separate accessories.

Enhanced linear imaging

Read high-density and low-resolution 1D codes, including damaged or poorly printed labels and barcodes displayed on mobile devices. The soft line viewfinder helps target the intended code.

Daily cleaning and wireless charging

Disinfectant-ready enclosures support regular cleaning with harsh disinfectant solutions. Cordless models use inductive battery charging, removing the need to clean charging contacts.

Bluetooth Wireless Technology (GBT4200)
Bluetooth 5.0 certified Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3; 2.4 GHz; HID and SPP profiles. Maximum 7 readers per radio receiver (cradle or commercial dongle). Open-air range: 100 m (328 ft), measured using the base station; other Bluetooth hosts may differ. Data encryption and scanner authentication.
STAR Cordless System (GM4200)
910 MHz for the listed GM4200-BK-910 models; effective radiated power <50 mW. Point-to-point or multi-point with up to 16 readers per radio receiver; two-way communications. Open-air range: 50 m (164 ft).
1D / Linear Codes
Automatic discrimination of standard 1D codes including GS1 DataBar linear codes.
Battery (cordless models)
Replaceable 2,550 mAh lithium-ion. Charge time: 4 hours using external 12 VDC power. Reads per charge: 80,000.
