DuraSled Data Readers (iOS)

DuraSled DS840/DS860 barcode reader sleds for exact compatible iPhones; phones are not included.

Barcode capture and a protective case for compatible iPhones

DuraSled DS840 and DS860 combine a Bluetooth barcode reader with a phone-specific protective sled for mobile delivery, asset tracking, ticketing and other application-driven workflows. Both read printed and on-screen 1D/2D codes; DS860 adds higher-performance reading and supported OCR workflows.

Select the exact phone fit, reader model, color and charging bundle. These are data-reader sleds, not handheld computers: no iPhone is included. CaptureSDK integration and compatible application support are required for native scanning workflows.

Cloud DuraSled with phone-specific case and charging dock; phone not included

Key Specifications

  • Scanner configuration: Cordless barcode reader in a selected iPhone sled case
  • Barcode capability: Printed/on-screen 1D/2D; DS860 also supports OCR types
  • Reading range: Barcode-dependent; DS840 up to 19.5 in, DS860 up to 36.1 in
  • Interfaces / connectivity: Bluetooth Classic; up to 33 ft (10 m), environment-dependent
  • Durability: Rubber casing; 2,500 tumbles at 3.3 ft (1 m) to a metal plate
  • Environmental sealing: IP rating not published for the assembled sled and phone
  • Dimensions and weight: Phone-case and bundle dependent; phone excluded
  • Warranty: 1 year

In the Box

  • Single-sled options
    • Selected DS840 or DS860 with the stated phone-fit case
    • Charging dock only when the option states it
    • Wrist strap and Get Started Guide
  • Six-sled domestic bundles
    • Six selected DuraSled readers and phone-fit cases
    • One 6-bay charging dock

No phones are included. Scanner-only options exclude a charger; charging accessories are sold separately unless stated by the selected package.

Protect the mobile workflow

The rubber case adds drop protection while keeping the reader and compatible iPhone together. The modular approach lets compatible cases change without replacing the core reader and SDK integration.

Printed and on-screen capture

Omnidirectional barcode reading supports labels and phone-displayed codes. Choose DS860 when its extended decode performance and supported OCR types are needed; validate the credential type with your application provider.
