The DS3600-KD combines ultra-rugged 1D/2D scanning with a color display and keypad so workers can add quantity, location and other data as part of the scan workflow. Five pre-built applications support common picking, inventory and verification tasks without turning the scanner into a general-purpose mobile computer.

Its housing, scanning system, cordless power and management tools are designed for high-throughput retail, warehouse and manufacturing work in harsh environments.

Ultra-Rugged Scanning

The DS3600-KD withstands repeated 10-foot drops and 7,500 tumbles. Dual IP65/IP68 sealing protects against dust, jetting water and immersion for indoor, outdoor and freezer work.

PRZM Intelligent Imaging and a high-resolution sensor capture 1D and 2D barcodes from near contact to 7 feet, including dirty, damaged, poorly printed and shrink-wrapped labels.

Display, Keypad and Workflows

A backlit 19-key keypad supports one-handed data entry, while the 2-inch color display adjusts brightness. Five included workflows handle quantity and location entry, roaming inventory, container-content matching and image review.

Workers can preview images, de-skew and brighten documents and capture supported OCR text directly on the device.

Faster Data Capture

Label Parse+ extracts GS1 expiration, lot and manufacturing fields. Multi-Code Data Formatting reads up to 20 barcodes and transmits required values in order; Preferred Symbol isolates one code from a pick list. Vibration, wraparound LEDs, tones and Direct Decode Indicator provide flexible confirmation.

Cordless Shift Power

PowerPrecision+ supports more than 60,000 scans or over 16 hours and reports battery health. The IP65 cradle uses contacts rated for 250,000 insertions with Connect+ technology. AutoConfig applies cradle-stored settings, Virtual Tether helps prevent loss, and Wi-Fi Friendly Mode reduces interference.

Connect and Manage

Network Connect for Automation links directly to Industrial Ethernet without third-party conversion. ScanSpeed Analytics identifies slow labels, 123Scan builds configuration barcodes, Scanner Management Service updates distributed devices and Remote Diagnostics collects asset, health and barcode evidence.
