High-speed desktop 1D/2D scanning for hands-free POS and ID workflows
The Star Micronics BSD-40U is a compact presentation scanner for fast, hands-free capture at the counter. Its 1280 x 800 CMOS imager reads common 1D and 2D barcodes from paper and screens, while AAMVA driver-license parsing supports age-verification and identification workflows.
Connect the included USB cable for plug-and-play deployment, or add the optional 37955360 serial interface kit when an RS-232 connection is required. Infrared sensing and motion detection support automatic presentation scanning.
