BarTender Starter helps small businesses and departments create barcode labels in-house. Build a design, connect Excel or CSV data, and print the labels you need for small batches, changing product mixes, and routine identification.
What you can do
Design without programming
Start with a ready-made template or a blank layout. Combine text, barcodes, images, and serial numbers using visual design tools and step-by-step wizards.
Put spreadsheet data to work
Bring information from Excel or CSV files into your labels. Update the source data as products change instead of maintaining a separate label for every item.
Support Amazon Transparency labeling
Use the available Transparency templates with Amazon-provided CSV data to prepare serialized labels for participating brands and manufacturers.
Print only what you need
Produce labels on demand and make design changes before the next batch. This reduces reliance on stored, preprinted label stock.
Work with your label printers
Use BarTender with supported Windows printer drivers. The Workstation license lets one user print from one PC to unlimited printers.

Starter suits straightforward labeling. Professional adds richer data and RFID tools; Automation and Enterprise support more advanced business workflows.

Choose the right license
For a new license, choose a Workstation subscription and the required 1-, 3-, or 5-year term. For an existing subscription, select the matching Workstation renewal. Legacy conversion requires an eligible existing license; legacy application/printer support options must match the original license. A renewal or support item does not create a new Workstation license.
